1 kilogram pork back ribs
Mc Cormick barbecue original mix
1 tbsp. oyster sauce
½ cup chicken broth
Salt and pepper
1 cup banana catsup
1 tbsp minced garlic
3 tbsp butter or margarine
1 small piece bay leaf
1 tsp. pepper, ground
2 onions, sliced
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp white sugar
Rub in spareribs with oyster sauce, salt and pepper and Mc Cormick barbecue mix (follow pack instructions). Place inside resealable bag. Marinate for at least 2 hours.
In a pot over with oil medium heat, add marinated spareribs. Cook for approximately 30 minutes or until lightly brown.
Add excess marinade and chicken broth; bring to a boil. Lower heat, cover and cook for about 40 to 45 minutes or until meat is tender and sauce is reduced.
Serve with catsup sauce.
For Catsup sauce:
On a hot-pot, mix all ingredients. Let it simmer for at least 3 minutes. Set aside.
Depends on your preference, you may omit catsup sauce.
It is better to cut spare ribs into strips when using a frying pan. In this way, you can fill in more space and cooking is much faster.
I would love to hear from you! 🙂
